T-AN-T Apprenticeship Program

In partnership with the Dallas County Juvenile Department and the Volunteer Center of North Texas Truancy Program, TeCo's T-An-T (Teenagers and Theatre) Apprenticeship Program is an innovative four-month workshop that targets Dallas area teenagers from economically disadvantaged families.  This after school course provides basic theater education, form, communication, construction and performance.  It gives the student on-the-job training in every genre of theatre working alongside theatre professionals.  The program culminates each year with a classical production during TeCo's regular season where the T-An-T student runs the entire show.  The ultimate goal is to divert juvenile offenders from further involvement in the judicial system.

The apprenticeship program is made possible by the generosity of our sponsors:  the City of Dallas, Methodist Hospital  and the Oak Cliff Lions Club.
